Well… I guess first I have to apologize to all the people I captured here… This was not very nice.
Everything started when I went by bus to Poi Pet to do a Visa-Run to Thailand. A couple of kilometres away from Poi Pet is a Bus station only for tourists. The exchange rates for money are probably the worst in Cambodia the food is about 10 times more expensive and if you made it to there you probably did something wrong. (Or just took a tourist bus)
If you change your money here or eat something you are either an idiot or about to die if you don’t get some food or money in another currency (why???).
So the tourists get ripped off and the Cambodian Tourist Police sits beneath and grins… maybe they have their reasons.
I landed here for the second time but fortunately I just got a tourist bus (4$ from Siem Reap to Poi Pet is a real bargain, so I haven’t done something wrong).
Anyway – I didn’t like the folks here… And decided to do something nasty. Take pictures of them while they have lunch.
But suddenly I recognized those pictures looked hilarious. I continued doing it not because I didn’t like them – I continued because the pictures were pretty funny…
Later I reached Cantho in Vietnam. A very nice city in the Mekong Delta. The other day I decided to go to the floating market and arrived there with a couple of tourists mostly from western countries.
We could buy some pineapples from the locals. The price was not too bad but… The faces of the guys eating them were even better! Again… It’s not very nice what I did and I deeply apologize. I promise I won’t take such pictures again (until someone asks me or it looks so great that I would regret it).
And to show some goodwill, here’s a picture of me eating a rat:
